Connected Learning – an introduction.

The way we live and the way we learn have been completely reshaped by digital technology. As an educator in this digital age, I must constantly evolve. By embracing new forms of literacies and employing Web 2.0 affordances I shape authentic learning experiences for myself and for my students. The connected learning communities to which I subscribe are an infinite source of inspiration. They enable the sharing and remixing of content, ideas, the curation of resources, online collaboration and content creation. As I aspire to become a ‘connected educator’ I know that I am not alone in my struggles. I  tap into the collective intellect and the digital artefacts of millions of minds at the touch of my fingertips and seek the support of my peers through my professional learning networks.
